A convention of Delegates from the colored population of Pennsylvania, was held at Pittsburgh last week, consisting of about 140 per- persons. Its object was to consult upon the means of promoting the moral and intellectual im- improvement of their race, with some view also to their alleged political rights. An attempt was made to disturb the meeting, but the in- interference of the police and some arrests of the police and some arrests produced quiet.
