A Colored Convention.
COLUMBUS, O., December 26, - The state convention of colored citizens convened to-day. There was a large attendance from all parts of the state. W. S. Thomson of Delaware, was made temporary chairman. He stated the object of the convention was that the rights of colored people were more and more restricted and Danville outrages show such a condition of affairs as to lead to organization for the protection of all rights belonging to citizens. The decision of the supreme court on the civil rights law was generally discussed. The forenoon was occupied in appointing committees on credentials and permanent organization. There was some contest over the makeup of the committee on resolutions.
