The colored folks' convention at Washington has about 140 delegates, one of whom is a woman. There was a good deal of a row over the question of admitting her, she finally got in by a good majority. Fred. Douglas is President of the convention, and the delegates are so unused to this work that it requires all his tact and firmness to keep them in order.
